Art Teacher

Are you a fully Qualified Art Teacher who can teach KS3/4? Are you looking for work in Derby? Are you wanting to take on a full time role starting in March? Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a client Secondary Academy in Ilkeston who are looking to recruit a Art Teacher to start a long term full time role starting in March. Due to this being a full time long term role, you will be required to plan, deliver and mark the work of the students so experience with this is essential. Ideally you will be able to teach and have a minimum 2 years experience teaching to GCSE, however, NQT's who do not have the desired experience are more than welcome to apply. Roles and Responsibilities: Teaching Art to GCSE Starting in March Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme Experience of raising attainment in a differentiated classroom environment Evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of the subject through schemes of work and extra-curricular activities All candidates MUST: Have a Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) in Art Have the right to work within the UK Have the ability to provide school based references Be available for work full time  The Academy: “Staff look after pupils very well and teach them how to keep safe. Pupils’ personal development and welfare are, therefore, good" Each department has their own vision for their subject, which explains what is taught, how it has ambition, and how it fulfils the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 or the exam board specifications at Key Stage 4.  The order that the curriculum is sequenced in, is key. Students learn and master the foundations of subject, before moving onto themes that are more challenging ideas and content.
