Multi Skill Operative

Our client is a property maintenance and development business based in the NorthWest. Due to a rapid period of successfully won contracts they now require an Multi Skill Wet Room Installer in Merseyside on a permanent basis. Job Purpose Carry out repairs and maintenance /Inspection and testing to the 18th edition regulations in a safe and proper manner. New bathroom & Wet Room installations. Ensuring works are completed to a consistent high standard in addition to providing our customers with their best experience of customer service. You will provide an efficient and effective service as a member of the team, creating an environment enjoyable to work in, to include colleagues, both trade and office staff as part of your team Key Objectives To ensure that all properties are maintained / installed to the highest possible standards andthat all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. To ensure that all repairs are completed within the target response times. To provide a high standard of service to all customers. To carry out repairs and maintenance in accordance with current Building Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation, and Association timescales. Ensure all PPE equipment issued are accounted for at all times and kept safe and secure. To use/wear and apply all PPE issued by the company Qualified and competent tester to City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent. Ability to correctly isolate and prove isolation before working on electrical circuits. Ability to carry out electrical test and fill in digital certification correctly. Ability to ensure all electrical equipment is calibrated to regulatory standards. Carry out all areas of electrical installations to current wiring regulations. Installation experience with all types of cable and cable management. Good knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Ability to use and understand test equipment to verify all areas of work. Experience in fault finding solutions. Understand and incorporate all Tool Box Talks and legislation updates into working practices. To respect home owners, their property, members of the public and colleagues. You will be required to ensure that at all times that you follow good practice. You must be conversant with each risk assessment attributed to your work activity. Ensure our vehicles are maintained in a safe and proper manner, and are kept clean and tidy at all times (if you are assigned a vehicle). Observe the highest possible standards in relation to confidentiality and the provisions of the Data Protection legislation. Undertake any other duties compatible with the level and nature of your role as directed by your line manager. Ensure that paperwork is fully completed and submitted in accordance with company procedure. To partake in out of hours repairs service on a rota basis if required Qualification Formal technical qualification in electrical Engineering. Qualified to City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) NVQ3 for electrical installation. City & Guilds 2381/2382 17th/18th edition wiring regulations. City & Guilds 2391 or 2394+95 testing and inspection with experience of testing. Experience Thorough knowledge of inspection and testing carrying out domestic and light commercial EICR’S. Knowledge, skills and abilities A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety Door entry, CCTV, fire alarm, gates systems knowledge Sound Practical knowledge of electrical, construction and maintenance functions Able to form and maintain good working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally Commitment to providing a high quality service to all customers Experience of working in a building environment and completing electrical repair work in occupied homes Have the ability to deliver work plans to timetable, often under pressure Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with home owners, external agencies and office based colleagues Other Hold full UK driving licence
